The problem

USPTO.gov gets 2.4 million visits a month from inventors, attorneys and businesses. It has to be fast, secure and usable by everyone, and it can't go down for a rebuild.

What we built

We've built and supported it since 2015. We migrated it fully to AWS with CloudFormation and auto-scaling, upgraded Drupal step by step from 7 through 10, moved the pipeline from Jenkins and Ansible to GitLab CI/CD and kept every component WCAG 2.0 AA compliant along the way.
