With DC quickly rising through ranks as an East Coast Tech Hub, Tech in Motion thought it’d be fun to highlight some of the prominent companies and figures that the DC Tech community has come to foster and cultivate!
Our panel discussion will consist of top industry leaders and notables who will focus on the trials, tribulations, and successes of those who have had personal experience fostering a company from the ground up in D.C., with a specific emphasis placed on tech companies. We’ll hear from our panelists about best practices when starting a company in D.C., along with what worked and didn’t work for them.

UpRoots is NOI's newest program, bringing the lessons and collaborative spirit we share at RootsCamp year-round. While RootsCamp continues to be the leader in progressive un-conferences, bringing more than 2,000 organizers together annually, we're hoping that UpRoots will give organizers a chance to dive deeper into important skill-sharing lessons.
Throughout the year, we'll be hosting UpRoots events focused on individual parts of our organizing work, giving participants the opportunity to dig down on specific topics.
