1) Project scope definition
Development typically occurs in stages, beginning with research and project definition. We research and map requirements through competitive audits, client interviews and questionnaires, then create wire-frame and requirements documents that visually integrated technologies, and features. We work with clients andthird party providers to outline key systems like shipping, merchandising or hosting, determine their interactions, then architect a finalized Magento integration road-map.
2) Branding & design
Using approved wire-frame requirements, we create a targeted look and feel for the site. This process incorporates brand position and usability to create mock-ups for client review, user testing and approval. Our design team has extensive experience in branding, packaging, and design that help elevate traditional web design.
3) Front & back-end magento development
After client approved wire-frames and designs, we really go to work. We develop custom Magento modules and front end HTML/CSS concurrently. Generally, we work from Photoshop mockups for each page, cross browser HTML with Magento functionality. The nature of Magento commerce means we can literally make the front end do anything, even Flash functionality, while still retaining administrative control through the Magento admin.
4) Systems integration
Because e-commerce can touch many different parts of your business, we work with clients and authorized third parties to integrate systems like shipping, merchandising or hosting, as architect-ed in earlier phases. Our development team’s diversity and experience in databases, low-level languages and 3rd party services makes integration as painless and quick as possible.
